ACTIVITY AND ACCOUNTS | YOU MUST CREATE AN OOC ACCOUNT FOR PLOTTING / GENERAL OOC THINGS. ▸ It will be used to keep the board tidy with the plotting and overall in the out of character boards such as the forum games. You must log into your character account to manage their PC and reply to posts. Everything else is done on the OOC account. As for accounts, this is a one character per account site. It's understood that people have a life outside of the computer. We don't expect you to log into your accounts daily or post every single day. But it would be great if there was at least a post per week! If you know you're definitely going to be slow with posting for a certain period of time, please do post a message in the absences board or just PM a staff member! |
SITE BEHAVIOR | Please remember to be respectful to everyone, and treat others how you wish to be treated. I'm pretty sure we all learned this is what, preschool? Yeah. Don't be a site troll. If there is any drama it will be dealt with swiftly; should you have anything to report, please directly PM the admins or mods. Otherwise, everyone should have fun and enjoy the site! |
GRAPHICS & FACE CLAIMS | This is a real life roleplaying site. Though it is Pokemon, we are not allowing anime characters as face claims. As for permitted graphics, please make sure they're all clean and neat. Your avatars are 250 by 400 and should be of your character. The gif in the miniprofile is approximately 200 by 100. Don't have a signature at all, please. It clogs the board and makes it slow. :c |
WC & POWERPLAYING | 200 WORDS PER POST. That is the bare min. We love quality over quantity, but having a set limit allows us to make sure all posts have enough for someone else to go off. Don't godmod or powerplay. Seriously, your fucking Weedle isn't going to KO an Aggron. So don't bother fighting it unless you are prepared to get knocked out. No controlling the other character's Pokémon, or even an NPC's Pokémon. |
MATURE CONTENT | roleplaying can sometimes get pretty heated, but to abide by proboards terms of service, graphics scenes of any kind won't be tolerated on the site - whether in threads or via pms. believe it or not, proboards checks pm, too. we really don't want to see how your character got knocked up. this is a site where things like sex, drugs and other unmentionables may happen, just don't get way too overly graphic. if we - the staff - read something that we think is "going over the top", you'll receive a note to just tone it down a bit. |
TEAMS & WILD POKEMON | Remember that all the students are training to be gym leaders, who specialize in a certain type. So your student may only use Pokémon of that type, or a Pokémon who learns moves primarily of that type. Please keep that in mind! Students may have other types as well for the sake of surfing/flying. But Pokémon outside your type choices cannot be used for graded battles and trainer challenges. All wild Pokémon battles/encounters are roleplayed out by a moderator. You can’t take it upon yourself to make pokémon appear whenever you feel like it. Sure, you could see a group of Metapod hanging from a tree or some Ponyta running across the desert, but your character can't have an interaction with them. If you go into the forest and your character is a grass specialist, it isn’t set in stone you’re gonna come across a grass Pokémon. Bug, flying, or normal types are just as likely to be there. You have two options when it comes to wild Pokémon. You may either interact with them (i.e. Feed them a berry, ask them a question) or battle them. |
MOVES, LEVELING, AND EVOLUTION | Pokémon can learn all of the moves it can learn normally (as it retains them as it grows) and an additional 2 tm/hm moves. When a Pokémon wins a battle against a lower leveled Pokémon, they win 50 exp (out of 100). Against the same level, 1 level is awarded, and against anything higher than them, 2 levels. The losing Pokémon gains half of what it would've earned if it had won. Pokémon evolve much like in the game. Once they reach a certain level, they may evolve, or anytime after that. Item evolutions work the same way as well. The trade evolutions must be roleplayed out. The happiness evolution is when you reach twenty posts with that character and Pokemon, not including battling. When you're hatching an egg you must have your character carrying the egg around for a certain number of posts. 10 posts: level one with 2 egg moves. 20 posts: level five with 1 egg move. |
